As Shiseido’s Global Copy Director, Dimitrios Petsas is tasked with elevating the brand expression and forging the verbal identity of Shiseido and Clé de Peau Beauté across all communication platforms. His career has spanned five countries and three continents at some of the most iconic agencies in the world. It kicked off at Ogilvy, Athens where he won a slew of awards for his work on local and global brands such as American Express, IBM and Maxwell House. His foray into luxury and beauty began at Burkhardt + Hillman, where he co-created the launch of Sephora into the U.S. market before moving to McCann-Erickson to write for L’Oréal. He later joined Deutsch, New York, to work on Revlon, Westin Hotels & Resorts and Tommy Hilfiger. After a four-year stint at Publicis, New York on Lancôme and Garnier, he moved to London and Saatchi & Saatchi to take on the role of Regional Creative Director on Olay. He returned home to New York to join Grey and co-lead the creative work of Wella Koleston, building communication ecosystems centered on social engagement for markets as diverse and complex as the U.S., Brazil, Western Europe, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Russia. In 2015, Leo Burnett, Singapore, global creative headquarters for SK-II, tapped him to give the billion-dollar brand a new voice. He majored in History & Archeology at the University of Athens, Greece. Fluent in Greek, German and French, he has been part of numerous literary translation and creative writing seminars and workshops in the U.S. and Europe.
