SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL // A passion for music, as a drummer, pianist, vocalist and lover of modulars, as well as the bands he has played in, have guided James to where he is now. An artist who has always sought to connect creative ideas to feelings, with the best sensory way to achieve them, whether from a piece of music, a sound or a soundtrack framing images, scripts and films, because he believes that this always awakens something good in people.

Driven mainly by his passion for audio, audiovisual and the feeling it creates in everyone, he founded Jamute in 1996, an audio studio where he is the Founder & Music Cretaive Director.

With James and his team, Jamute has won 93 trophies at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, 3 of which are Grand Prix and 1 is the highly coveted Titanium Lion. But it's not just at Cannes that the studio has won awards. There are hundreds of awards, such as D&AD (29 awards), Clio Awards (47 trophies, including a Gran Clio), Effie Awards, Anuário do Clube de Criação de SP, YouTube Awards, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, New York Festivals, The One Club for Creativity, Art Directors Club (ADC), Webby, PPA (Professionals of the Year Award), LIA Awards and The Creative Floor Awards - Healthcare Awards, among others.

Fortunately, Jamute has managed to leave its mark on numerous festivals around the world.

In 2022 and 2023, Jamute was named the fourth audio studio in the world in a global ranking by The One Club for Creativity. It has also been in the Top 10 best audio production studios in Brazil four times in the Meio & Mensagem ranking: in 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

James was a juror at the Cannes Lions 2022, the Clio Awards 2023, Fiap 2023 and El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2023, as well as being a juror at various festivals in Brazil, most notably the Clube de Criação de São Paulo in 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016, and president of the jury in 2020. In 2021, 2022 and 2023, he was a jury member at the EFFIE Awards Brazil. In all these events, his participation was always carried out with pleasure and happiness, which he considers to be honors.
